Yipee! It’s Convocation Day! Worked, waited and slogged hard for this day, and it’s finally here!

There’s a birthday celebration for Prof J at the BioInformatics Research Center Yunnan Gardens on this day at 6:00pm. Prof J was one of the lecturers for my computational biology course in Year 1. He’s a very nice guy and never fails to greet you by asking how your day is when you look for him.

Apparently, he had a slight accident last year, but I’m just glad he’s doing well again. I wish him all the best.

Meeting up with some friends because everyone is going everywhere else. UK, US, Aussie… you name it, you got it. Place is at TP, details to be confirmed. It’s been quite some time since we last met up and it’d be good to do some catching up before any of us start disappearing again. Time really flies. Sometimes I wonder if I’d ever get to meet my friends who have gone overseas. Hmm…

Matriculation starts at 9:30am at LT2. Better not miss it. Bring along:

1. B.Sc. Transcripts / Certs
2. M.Sc. Transcripts / Certs
3. Passport
4. NRIC
5. Offer letter

Please take note to bring along any one of the following items for identification purposes when you arrive at NTU for the collection:

• Identity Card
• Matric Card
• Passport

If you are unable to collect the items personally, please authorise someone to do so on your behalf using the Authorization Form.

You must settle all outstanding fees (eg. library fines, hostel fees or school fees) with the relevant  departments within NTU before you collect your degree certificate or transcript. Please click here to check for any outstanding fines you might have with NTU’s Library. Please note that your transcript and degree certificate will be withheld until all outstanding payment(s) has been settled.  

You might wish to make an optional appointment with the official supplier of academic dresses, Serangoon Broadway Studio, for trying on and purchase/rental of your academic dress directly from the shop. However, should you choose to do so, you will still be required to collect the other item(s) from NTU on the assigned date.

If you are unable to authorize anyone to collect on your behalf, you may collect your degree certificate/transcript/invitation cards from the Graduate Studies Office from 19 July 2007 onwards. The academic dress can be purchased/rented directly from Serangoon Broadway at any time during their operating hours. You may also request for the degree certificate and transcript to be mailed to you by applying online at http://www.ntu.edu.sg/gso/forms/degcertmailing.htmlPlease note that your  degree certificate and transcript will be sent to you only after 3 August 2007.

I am scheduled to visit SGH for my 2-monthly checkup by the department registrar. He said that everything seems to be quite ok the last time he seen me, but I don’t think it’s gonna be the case now. The site has turned hypertropic and I think I might need another surgery to remove the *gasp* flesh! Sigh… I am feeling so depressed now.

Meeting an ex-schoolmate this Monday. We were talking about whether I had the gift of celibacy… which is really an interesting topic because a churchmate of mine once asked me this question. Hmm… perhaps I really do, then the guys can heave a sigh of relief because they do not have to worry about seeing my picture on the list and getting one helluva fright from my hideous looks!

Meeting some of my long lost friends for Breakfast this Saturday morning. It’s been quite a while since we last met and it’d be nice to meet up and do some catching up. Apparently, a lot of our friends are also getting married at the same time, so it’s also a good time to receive “red bombs”!

I am scheduled to visit SGH for my 2-monthly checkup. My therapist was afraid that the scar cells was starting to spread 2 visits ago, but the last visit confirmed that it was just false alarm. It seems like I am going to be on therapy for a long time.
